1. Rental period & late returns

The rental period begins at the time of pickup and ends at the agreed return time noted above. Rentals not returned by the agreed date and time will be charged an additional full day's rental rate for each 24-hour period (or portion thereof) the trailer remains out. Renter shall notify SATX Trailers as soon as possible if a delay is anticipated. Failure to return the trailer within 48 hours of the agreed return date without contact may be reported to local law enforcement as unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

2. Authorized use & geographic restrictions

Renter agrees to use the trailer solely for lawful purposes. The trailer shall not be:

• Used to haul hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or controlled substances.
• Sub-rented, loaned, or transferred to any third party without prior written consent.
• Operated in excess of the stated weight capacity.
• Taken outside the state of Texas without prior written authorization from SATX Trailers.
• Used in any off-road, racing, or competition activity.

3. Damage policy & deposit

A $300 refundable damage deposit is collected at time of booking. The trailer will be inspected together with the Renter at pickup. Any pre-existing damage will be noted on this agreement. Renter is responsible for all damage occurring during the rental period that is not documented as pre-existing, including but not limited to:

• Structural damage, frame bends, or broken welds.
• Damage to lights, wiring, or electrical components.
• Tire damage or wheel damage caused by misuse.
• Interior damage to enclosed trailers (walls, floors, doors, tracks).
• Damage to the hitch coupler, chains, or safety cables.

If damage exceeds the deposit amount, Renter authorizes SATX Trailers to charge the credit card on file for the full cost of repair or replacement at fair market value. The deposit will be refunded within 3–5 business days of a clean return. Renter is responsible for filing any insurance claims and shall cooperate fully.

4. Renter's responsibility for towing & insurance

Renter warrants that their tow vehicle is rated to tow the rented trailer's maximum gross weight. Renter is solely responsible for proper connection of the trailer, including hitch, safety chains, breakaway cable, and all lighting connections. SATX Trailers is not responsible for accidents, property damage, or bodily injury arising from improper hookup or operation. Renter's personal automobile insurance is primary for any accident or damage. Renter agrees to provide proof of insurance upon request and to immediately report any accident or damage to both SATX Trailers and their insurer.

5. Release of liability & indemnification

RENTER ASSUMES ALL RISK associated with the use, operation, and transportation of the rented trailer. Renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LoneStar Handgun LLC d/b/a SATX Trailers, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to Renter’s use of the trailer, except to the extent caused by SATX Trailers’ own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

6. Condition at return

Renter shall return the trailer in the same condition as received, normal wear and tear excepted. This includes:

• Interior and exterior swept or cleaned of debris, mud, and materials.
• All ramps, tie-downs, and accessories returned with the trailer.
• No flat tires or tire damage.

A cleaning fee of $50 will be charged if the trailer is returned in an unreasonably dirty condition.

7. Governing law & dispute resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be resolved in Bexar County, Texas. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing litigation. The prevailing party in any legal proceeding shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees.

8. Entire agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the rental of the trailer described herein. It supersedes all prior discussions and may not be modified except in writing signed by both parties. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
